Parent Teacher Association (PTA) IES Uppsala
The PTA at Internationella Engelska Skolan in Uppsala is a non-profit organisation.
The purpose of the PTA is to support the school for the best of the students.
The PTA arranges social activities for students, parents and school personnel.
Over the years, the PTA volunteers have worked to be a powerful voice for all
children, and actively lead the effort to increase communication between the parents
and the teachers/school administration.

Some accomplishments and initiatives:

  • Annual Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Special guest speakers (Internet safety, social media, growth mindset)
  • Winter Sports Equipment/clothes sale
  • New hallway benches for the students
  • Safer bus waiting area

The activities are mostly funded by membership fees. To continue having a PTA at
IESU, please join by paying the membership fee of 100 SEK per family.
Please pay by Swish to 070 743 66 34 (Rosemary Rothwell) and include the name of
the student(s) and class.

The PTA meets about four times a year. The school principal is invited to these
meetings, giving the parents an opportunity to discuss current opportunities/issues
with the school administration.
Note: Due to Covid-19, the meetings will be digital until further notice. Link to the meetings will be
posted on this page and shared via SchoolSoft.

Upcoming dates spring term 2021:
